It is a new rope suspension bridge that spans the wild and romantic Höhenbachtal Gorge. It is the highest and longest free accessible pedestrian suspension bridge in Austria!
Its crossing is a special experience and should stay in your memories so long as possible. The Suspension bridge provides many opportunities to explore the beautiful hiking region around the sunny slopes on the Gföllberg and the sunny plateau on the Schiggenberg (Schiggen Mountain) in connection with the wild and romantic Höhenbachtal (Höhenbach Valley) and the imposing Simms waterfall. The Suspension bridge is located on the route of the new “Lechway” –
a long-distance hiking trail with over 125 km starting from the Lech river source at Lech am Arlberg and going to its case near Füssen. It offers various short circular walks as well as half-day tours and day trips. It combines entire hiking trails on the sunny slopes of Gföllberg and Schiggenberg with a suspension bridge as well as a wild and romantic Höhenbachtal and the beautiful Simms waterfall.
